T-minus three weeks!

Let me just say,
the time is flying.

I think I have finally gotten all my paperwork sent in. That was way more obnoxious than it should have been! I also paid my tuition today. THAT'S a big chunk of money! But it's going to be so worth it :3
So I'm flying into Canada first. Sometimes when I tell people that, they say "Canada? pff. What's in Canada?" But just so you know, oh skeptics, I'm excited to go to Halifax. I bet none of you have been there, so it could be a secret place of AWESOME that you have no idea exists. so get off Canada's back!

:)

On another note, I got a new powercord/ACadapter for my computer, so now it actually charges the battery! Which is very useful. So now I will be more easily able to use it while I'm out and about. And I can take it to internet cafes if I so choose. :) I just need to get some functioning headphones now ... I should put that on my list.

OH
speaking of lists.
I'm working on making my packing list. With any luck, since I'm starting early I won't forget anything. I also bought some new luggage to pack all my stuff in! I got this huge rolling duffel bag thing for most of my stuff, and another duffel for whatever doesn't fit. haha. Though honestly I think I'll only need one bag. I don't pack thaaat much. >.>
We need duffel bags though because there is very limited space in our cabins on the ship! I'll probably take a panorama of the room and post it at some point :) All my pictures will likely come in large groupings because it takes time and megabytes to post them, and that will take off of my allotted ship internet time, so I will post pictures in port at some internet cafe. So look forward to those blog entries!

anyway, I'll post again when I have new, more interesting things to say.

My first entry - What I'm about to experience!

This blog is going to be about my travels with Semester at Sea, a program that allows students to study abroad in multiple countries via a ship! So I will be on a boat for two months this summer; from June 13th when I take a plane to Halifax, Nova Scotia to August 22nd when I arrive back in Norfolk, Virginia :) and in between all that, I will be spending time in Spain, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, and Morocco.

I'm going to be keeping a journal on the ship, as we will have limited internet access time, so no promises as to how often this will be updated! Not to mention, I'm going to be taking classes! I'm taking Comparative Politics, Global Studies, and Energy and Society. :) It's pretty exciting.

So yeah, I'm pretty stoked about going abroad. It will be my first ever experience out of the U.S.! I'm more than ready for it, too. I've loved travel and new places all my life and honestly, it's about time I got out and did something awesome! I'm going to be exploring cultures and getting to know new people, visiting orphanages and children's hospitals, and taking pictures of everything! Can't wait for all the photo opportunities :) Can't wait to share everything with you!
